After 50 Years Apart, Single Couple Remarries in Psychological Ceremony: ‘I Shed one or two Tears’

In 1968, Harold and Lillian Holland separate after 12 years of matrimony. Having married young, the pair says they were too immature meant for the union to last – but their feelings for each other under no circumstances went away.

The couple manufactured headlines a month ago when news of their then-impending nuptials initially broke. They originally hitched in 1955 after assembly at a restaurant in Salt Riff, and had five children -Miriam, Timothy, Symbol, Laura and Larry -before divorcing in 1968.

“That divorce was all my wrong doing, ” Harold admits. “But she said, “I forgave you a long time ago. ‘ We have married young and I proved helpful a lot.
